We've had ours for 3-4 months now and it looks great and works great except when you open/close the door it resets the clock to 0:00 and you have to reset it all the time. I've noticed many others have complained about the same issue.. I'm hoping they release an update that can correct the issue?
Otherwise it's really quiet and spacious and has a lot of power to heat up the food quickly.

We bought this microwave two months ago and use it daily. It heats great and does everything you would expect a microwave to do except the door does not open easily. I have literally dislocated my thumb trying to get the door to unlatch and open. If it weren't for this I'd be completely satisfied with the microwave but I'm afraid I'm going to break a finger trying to open the door. In all fairness we have not contacted the manufacturer yet as I kept hoping that it would work it's way loose but to date it hasn't. Guess we will be making a call for help!

Mine was installed as a built-in. I really like the large interior capacity and the simple function prompts. It looks very nice in the built-in space as well. Clean lines and smooth finish!

I purchased my Whirlpool Microwave Oven to replace one that lasted 10 years and just stopped. I needed an oven that would fit the same space. This one fit the space. It is the same power. It seems a little slower to heat the food than the old oven but it does the job.

This is the second same make and model I've purchased due to a specially fitting space and trim kit. Microwave works well when operational, but the electronics seem to fail very fast thus making the microwave inoperable and needing to replace in only two years. I would not have bought the same model had I been able to find another microwave with the same dimensions. Works well but doesn't last!

Poorly designed door latch. Will get stuck over time. Whirlpool won't address the issue after warranty, stuck spending another $300. Meanwhile, engineers at NASA can design microwaves that work in outer space, yet engineers at Whirlpool can't get microwave doors to open properly.

I bought it to replace my Amana Radar Range which lasted over 12 years. Bigger unit and does the cooking quite well. the only complaint is the not as easy setup for cooking and the door latch is strong. Amana and GE which we owned had easier door latch buttons to push. Also which I could shut off the annoying done beeper.

I replaced my whirlpool microwave, bought in 2013, with a 2018 model whirlpool microwave. The old one had started to refuse to spin/heat occasionally and I was told it would only cost about $80 more to buy a new one than have the old one serviced, if indeed it could be serviced at all. I was as told that microwaves "only last 5-7 years; they are almost disposable" by the appliance person at the store from which I bought the first one.
The new one had to be replaced within two weeks for inconsistent performance. The "second new one" appears to be functioning well enough. Two things are big disappointments, though. The display is now white numbers instead of the blue numbers that would have matched the whirlpool oven right below it. C'mon, whirlpool people, you should have kept the display the same!! This is particularly annoying since my microwave is built-in, with no opportunity to separate oven from microwave. The other thing is that this new microwave is MUCH worse at showing fingerprints. That it is referred to as "fingerprint resistant" is either laughable or ludicrous, depending on your perspective.
The new oven does heat ok, and I really do like the fact that it accommodates a full size, 9x13 cake pan, thus making me able to recommend it.
If I could have my old one back, I would take it in an instant!!!!!!!!!

Less than a week since I picked up my new microwave and got some reservations on this replacement. The button to open the door is so clunky and requires a very stiff push. In addition the clock time has gone blank at least twice without any power outage and boy it is as quiet as I expected for a new deivice.

While this microwave is powerful and reheating and cooking time is shorter than my previous Whirlpool this model is easily scratched on the outside surface. I think it is rather pricey but we had to have the same size as the one that bit the dust since it was built in.

This unit replaced a 15year old built in. I find the buttons a little small and hard to read. At first I was dismayed there was no "Add 30" seconds button, but discovered simply pressing the > start button perform same function.

very nice. haven't figured out how to use different powers yet. only complaint i have is the button you push to open door is very stiff. have to push really hard or hold microwave with one hand and push button with other hand so microwave just doesn't lid when you push button. i like that you only have to push one button to have it turn on for 30 seconds

Bought microwave three weeks ago.. The door has two prongs that latch and hold it close... It takes considerable effort to either open or close the door because of this design feature... Also, randomly, at about every 10 or 15 door closures, the time display disappears and is replaced by 3 zeros when closing the door.. This is very annoying as I have to reset the clock time after every occurance. It's almost as if some wiring or an internal switch is loose and being jarred when the door shuts or something...As mentioned above, the door closure requires a lot of force because of the two locking prong design and this jars the unit quite a bit with every closure...

I had to replace a Whirlpool Gold 17 years old. Everything is plastic now! The door latch, the trim kit, it is cheaply made. For the cost to replace I didn't get the same product for sure. I kept the old trim kit it was made of metal and didn't look cheap. The person that ordered the trim kit for me didn't order the correct size anyway so thankfully I didn't throw the old out! It is what it is thankfully I don't cook with it, it is just used to heat, melt or warm with.

It works very well and has a lot of options. Love the space inside. Have had problems with the clock resetting when you close the door. So now I don't bother with the clock. My parents have the same one and it does the same thing.
